All Aboard! NYC Ferry’s new Soundview route in The Bronx has launched. People in Soundview and Clason Point had a pretty terrible time getting into Manhattan but this new route will hopefully alleviate that pain!
The new stop is located in Clason Point Park, at the end of Soundview Avenue, and hopes to provide Bronx residents an easier way to get into Manhattan. The route has four stops: Soundview, East 90th St, East 34th St, and Wall St. We got to Wall Street in around 48 minutes and the ride only costs $2.75.
The ferry can carry 150 passengers and comes equipped with restrooms, outlets, USB ports to charge your phone, and a snacks and drinks bar. You’ll find Bronx Brewery on tap! Wi-fi is coming soon. They also have 350 passenger boats as well that carry the same benefits as the 150 passengers.
Another positive about the ferry? The views! You don’t get that when you’re on the subway or bus. Hopefully this new route will make a lot of Bronxite’s lives much easier.
People were excited to see this new route and people even more excited that their commute into Manhattan was shortened. Hopefully we get more stops in the Bronx in the future.
You can check out the full Soundview schedule on NYC Ferry’s website.
