HOW SHOULD CLOTHES FIT?
A proper-fitting outfit should fit close and comfortably to your body. The clothes should fit well, but still allow for freedom-of-movement. One test to try – hug someone while wearing a blazer that’s buttoned. If you can’t, it probably doesn’t fit. The arms of jackets and shirts should be slim and never too long, while pants should have a leg that is slimmer and feature a medium-rise. I like my pants to be slim, tampered, and have no breaks. The details such as button stance which is the distance from a collar button onto the next, need to be proportioned correctly.

To address their customer’s needs, they moved completely away from the traditional sizing which includes S, M, L etc. Peter Manning NYC created a proprietary sizing system designed for a very specific target market. Their sizing which includes 1,2,3,4, 2X and 4X is based on body type, weight and height. So, if a customer enters their weight and height into the size calculator, they will arrive at a size that is just right for them. 90% of the time they are able to get this right. If you can come into a showroom you can try on the clothes in person. They have also added 2X and 4X to their original 1 through to 4 in assist men who are larger on top. For example, I am 5’ 7” and 180 lbs. At Peter Manning my sizes are:
Shirt – 4x
Blazer – 4
Pants, chino (slim) – 33×27
Topcoat – 4
ABOUT THE RETURN POLICY
Peter Manning NYC accepts returns for any type of reason and they are free. They offer full returns provided the item is returned within 30 days of the original purchase on all the non-sale items. Any items returned after the 30 days or sale items come with a full-store credit. Goods returned must be undamaged and unwashed.

The Fit Shop is a location where all their products are made available for customers to try and buy. There are fit specialists available to help customers with sizing as well as to choose different styles. Orders are processed and shipped on the same-day and for free. Their NYC Fit Shop is situated at 933 Broadway, which is between 21st and 22nd Streets and is open from Monday through to Friday from 10am to 7pm and from noon through to 5pm on a Saturday.

TIPS ON HOW TO CARE FOR GARMENTS FROM PETER MANNING NYC
So now you have clothes from Peter Manning, how do you take care of it. Outwear and clothing should be taken to a dry cleaner. In most cases the clothing just requires pressing, rather than a clean. It is advisable to avoid over-cleaning clothing.
For items classified as more casual, the items can be washed in a machine with cold water and hung up to dry for close to zero-shrinkage. To avoid shrinkage clothes should be washed in cold water and dried on a warm setting in the dryer. To shrink the clothes to the customers liking, machine wash on warm, followed by tumble dry on med to high.
Cold water is always best to maintain colors, while a hot wash is considered harmful to clothing items and is typically not necessary in order to clean clothes properly.
