It’s no secret that driving can sometimes be a stressful activity. Not only is it dangerous and requires constant attention, but you also have to deal with the unpredictability of other road users, many of whom aren’t as considerate or careful as you.

The good news is that the market provides. There is now a range of fabulous gadgets and accessories for vehicles that help you with everything, from starting your car in the morning to ensuring your tires remain inflated to the correct pressure.

Scosche USB Charger

Your car should be just as good as accommodating all your digital devices as your home. But, unless you own a Tesla, connectivity in most cars is distinctly lacking. Many vehicles still don’t come with USB ports which is a disgrace in 2019.

The good news is that there is a range of accessory-makers offering convenient USB connectivity in vehicles. Scosche’s USB charger includes multiple ports, allowing you and your passengers to hook up their devices while on the move.

Fobo Tire Plus

Tire pressure is important. If your tires aren’t correctly inflated, then you risk wearing out the tread of your tire faster and causing damage to the wheel, axel, and other components. The good news is that Fobo has come up with something called Tire Plus, a sensor that fits on the wheel of your vehicle and then feeds sensor information via Bluetooth to your phone. If it detects that there’s a problem with the tire pressure, it’ll alert you via the companion app.

Ztylus Stinger

Being involved in a car accident is never a pleasant experience. But sometimes car accidents make it impossible to open the doors due to damage. In these circumstances, you need a tool that will help you get out in an emergency. That’s what Ztylus has tried to provide with its Stinger, a device that’s designed to shatter car glass. Granted, you’ll need a windshield replacement if you use it, but it’s small and discreet and can fit in the glovebox of your car.

Tile Mate

Eventually, your car keys will go missing, no matter how rigorous you are with where you keep them. But thanks to Tile Mate, lost keys might be a thing of the past. The system, again, works using Bluetooth. A fob on your keyring emits a signal that you can pick up on your phone. The companion app will then show you the distance and direction to your keys, allowing you to find them if they are in range. Of course, if you leave your car keys at the store, it won’t be of much use.

Parking Assistants

Most new cars come with some sort of rear-view camera or parking assist system that lets you know how far you can reverse. Parking assistants are essential on all kinds of cars, but especially longer varieties, like estates.

Not all entry-level cars come with parking assistance, but you can get aftermarket products, like those by Park-Zone which audibly warn you if you’ve pulled up enough.
