Suspenders

Here’s a little menswear trivia. You may have heard the term suspenders and braces used interchangeably. But, traditionally the term “braces” refers to button-on suspenders. These are generally made of higher quality materials and intended for business and dress wear, while the term “suspenders” refers to the clip-on variety that can be worn with either dress or casual attire. However, in the US the word “suspenders” is often used interchangeably to refer to both the clip-on and button-on styles. Likewise, the British use the term “braces” in a similar fashion to encompass both types of attachment styles. On that note, keep it dandy with suspenders. Make sure to see if the suspenders come with clip-ons or are button-on only.
