Running, panting, sweating and looking good. All four things are not possible at the same time, right?
Who says that you can’t look good while you’re shedding a few pounds? Who made the rule that fitness clothing can only be function without the form? Nonsense, you can look sleek and debonair while you pound the pavement. Fitness style is not really a recent thing, it’s always been in society. Nike is a prime example because they’ve been using celebrities to market their products for many decades. They offer great style as well as performance. Other companies are getting in on the action and now, the standard is to look cool as well as perform the primary duty as well. What’s up this alley in 2020?
FITNESS FASHION MISTAKES
Leggings offer incredible flexibility, breathability and comfort. But they’re not really made for dudes. They’re figure-hugging, designed to complement and lift the curves on a woman’s body. They’re designed in such a way that they inspire confidence in women. Men shouldn’t be wearing leggings if they can help it, because we’ve got something way better. Joggers are just as if not more comfortable, they can breathe just as well and they offer almost as much freedom of movement.
Tank tops are a little overkill. You’ve worked hard, got some muscles and you want to show your physique a little bit. All right, nothing wrong with that. But a muscle shirt was designed for that very reason. When you’re sweating, the tank top is going to show it’s flawed. The sweat from your body will stick to the machines in the gym, making things slippery and potentially dangerous. Stick to the muscle shirt, it just looks better anyway.
GOING INTO STEALTH MODE
For almost a decade, white trainers were at the top of the fitness world. They looked good and thanks to modern material, they were easy to clean. But this year, you may not see some of the world’s fitness icons rocking the clean white sneakers. It’s all about dark, moody greys with flashes of aggression. The Nike Air Max 2020 trainers are a fine example of this. They offer plenty of padding so you can pound the pavement, but they also have a slick style. The slashes of red down the sides, with black and grey intertwining over the face. You’ll also see more ‘stealth’ shoes, with Nike pushing their Revolution 5 more this year. Black trainers can be gotten dirty and you don’t have to worry. Run through puddles and no one will notice.
SUMMER RUNNING
Fear not, this winter chill shall pass and soon you’ll be bathing in the spring and summer sun. why workout in gyms, far better to go running outdoors. But wait, take these Runner’s Sunglasses with you. They’re just 26g and they have spring hinges so they fit snugly. You can run how hard you want and these sunglasses will sit steadily on your ears.
The fit in fitness doesn’t always pertain to your health. Fitness clothing has changed over the years and it’s become more mainstream. These are the sorts of trends you should get ready for in 2020.
