The Tech of Pleasure: LELO F1S Review

I’m a tech guy, I love using the newest gadgets. So when I learned about the LELO F1S Developer’s Kit Red and what it could possibly provide, I was intrigued.

Now a little background about what I’ve worked with in the past. Other than the traditional method, I tried male masturbators like the Fleshlight. I’ve also tried VR headsets in combination with these tools. I really enjoy these immersive experiences as stress relievers.

• A soft, satin drawstring storage pouch 
• A manufacturer’s warranty registration card 
• Lube samples 

While the gloves and sign are cute, they aren’t really necessary. Would have appreciated more lube or a charging adapter. By the way, you NEED lube with F1s. Please don’t try it dry or with hand lotion.

LELO F1S Review

The F1s itself is very sleek and minimalist looking. I really appreciate that if you didn’t know any better, it could definitely be mistaken for a Bluetooth speaker. I give LELO points here for making a product that isn’t embarrassing and obvious to look at. Here’s how the size compares to other items. It won’t work for everyone.

You’ll find familiar controls at the top and on the red end is where you put in your member. The best and most important feature is that the whole device is waterproof. It makes clean up very easy! You can even use it while having a bath.

How Does the LEO F1S Feel?

Foremost, you shouldn’t compare this to the “real thing,” rather than a new experience all together. The F1s features a 360-degree sonic waves that engulf you. You can control these settings via an app that is available on iOS or Android. You’ll notice ridges throughout the canal – these are ultra-precise sensors that can be manipulated via the app. Vibrations are the key to the LELO F1s. There is a window where you’ll be able to see the action taking place.

Vibrations surround your member with a suction motion. The vibrations can be as intense or as light as you want and are controlled via the app. You can also control these via the controls on top of the device as well. It took some tinkering to find the setting I enjoyed the most. I used it while enjoying my usual content and was able to finish inside the device. I tried it by holding it myself and propping it via pillows. The F1s truly shines once you find your preferred position.

Since the F1s is waterproof, you can run it through water when you’re are done. Use the included toy cleaning spray to keep your F1s in prime condition.

The Future

There are ten sensors inside F1s that output different effective readings that can be manipulated by the user through the software development kit library. This means that apps can be built that utilize the data from the product to create new sensations, develop new patterns, and give different readings.

LELO will be sharing the SDK library so developers can create apps for F1s. They are encouraging developers to help build the perfect sexual interaction. This is what I am most excited about. However, at this moment there aren’t any 3rd party apps that take advantage of this. I’m hoping for VR experiences or videos that sync with the F1s in the near future.

Things I Liked

• Discrete appearance.
• Easy to clean.
• Can be used while off and be controlled without the app.
• New sensations that other male masturbators cannot provide.
• Future potential with apps.
• Lasts 2 hours per charge.

Things That can be Improved

• Hoping developers can make more apps for the F1S soon. 
• Takes a couple of hours to fully charge. 
• The included USB cable is short. 
• It’s loud.

My Final Thoughts on the LELO F1S Developer’s Kit Red

I’ve used other toys in the past and this has given me a new experience that could only be provided by the F1s. There isn’t anything else like this out there right now. As someone who cares about aesthetics, the look of the F1s is also appreciated. With the price and included warranty, it’s a pleasure worth exploring. I hope developers step up because that will make the F1s an unbeatable product.
