Celebrate and give back! I had the chance to attend The New York Botanical Garden’s Annual Winter Wonderland Ball. Presented by Bottega Veneta, the 20th Annual Ball Was Held on December 14. Let’s check it out.
MOST FASHIONABLE PARTY OF THE HOLIDAY SEASON
I love seeing the events like this in The Bronx. When people think huge galas with celebrity guests, people usually think Manhattan or Brooklyn. Funny thing, some guests I spoke with didn’t even know we were in The Bronx. Our borough has so much to offer and I love when we can show it off.
What is The New York Botanical Garden’s Annual Winter Wonderland Ball? Now in its 20th year, the Winter Wonderland Ball is one of NYC’s most fashionable parties of the holiday season. It’s a black-tie event featuring cocktails, dinner, and dancing inside of the Haupt Conservatory. The night starts with cocktails under the dome of the Palms of the World Gallery and walking through the Holiday Train Show. Afterward, we headed towards the Conservatory Tent for gourmet dining and then… jams!
Who will you find at this event? Notable guests at the Winter Wonderland Ball included Georgina Bloomberg, Natalie Bloomingdale, Ariana Rockefeller, and Lili Buffett.
It’s amazing to see all these people in The Bronx for a great cause and such a luxurious event.
OVER $350,000
Five hundred guests wearing black tie attire enjoyed the night together raising over $350,000 for the Botanical Garden’s Children’s Education Program.
The Winter Wonderland Ball was presented by Bottega Veneta, an Italian luxury goods and high fashion brand founded in 1966 in Vicenza, Veneto, Italy. They are defined for their four unchanging principles: outstanding craftsmanship, timeless yet innovative design, contemporary functionality, and the highest quality materials.
NATURAL MATERIALS
On view in the Haupt Conservatory was the 27th annual Holiday Train Show—an exhibition of magnificent model trains winding through a sprawling landscape in miniature, featuring iconic New York landmarks all made of bark, leaves, and other natural materials.
The evening began at 8:00 p.m. with cocktails beneath the glistening dome in the Palms of the World Gallery, followed by dinner and dancing into the night.
Proceeds from the event support NYBG’s world-renowned Children’s Education Program, providing children, families, and teachers with year-round access and opportunities to connect with nature. They provide fun and engaging hands-on activities, encourage nutrition awareness and environmental stewardship through inquiry-based curricula that include gardening and healthful eating as well as plant science and conservation. Saving the world and being healthy!
