A fixture in the Upper East Side, TBar Steak and Lounge opened up in 2007 and has built up a loyal neighborhood clientele. Let’s check out this local spot and try out their American cuisine.
UPPER EAST SIDE STAPLE
A classy looking place, you can immediately tell this is an Upper East Side staple. I saw families, long time girlfriends, and everyday folk wining and dining. The ladies were dressed very well but I think the gentlemen there need to follow my blog haha. I wanted to invoke an old school going out party look, so I wore my black suit and bow tie. Perfect for having steak!
CERTIFIED BLACK ANGUS
We started with Seared Spanish Octopus and glasses of rosé. For the main course, I had a medium/rare Filet Mignon. The steak is certified black angus, seasoned With Kosher salt & black pepper with a choice of steak sauce, béarnaise sauce, or poivre Sauce. Then you have a some options for sides. The portion sizes are very generous, so they are perfect for sharing! We had Mac & Cheese, mashed potatoes, and sautéed spinach.
You’re looking at spending at least $100 for dinner for two. This would be great for a date night, early dinner with friends, or brunch spot. If you want to try a classy American venue and have a great steak (with a lot of mash potatoes!) this is it.
