In my new series STYLING WITH, I try out new products and see how they work and if they work for me. Today we are styling with éprouvage Pour Homme Molding Paste.
I’ll be trying out new products on video next month. Today I’m using éprouvage Molding Paste. If you want to defy gravity you are going to need something tough. Texture and hold are important especially when your background is Ecuadorian and a bit Chinese. I have thick oily hair that tends to curl when left to its own devices.
When styling my hair, I always start wet. This helps me manipulate my hair better and give my hair volume after drying. This is not possible for me if I towel or air dry hair. I then use a round brush with a blow dryer while styling my hair. You can see in my video how use the round brush to give my hair that poof. Wonder why round brushes have holes in them? They are specially made for blow drying so the heat can get to your hair easier!
After it’s all nice and dry in the way you want it, rub your hands with the paste and run your fingers through your hair following the same style as your hair. Use the round brush for any touch ups.
The paste is very tough. I used a generous amount on my hair and would recommend the same. It gave my hair a lasting natural shine and lasted pretty much all day. This is key for me. I start doing my hair around 8:30-9am and need it to last well after midnight. I’ve use some products where by then, my hair would be flat. Figure out the right amount for you and stick to it!
