However, one such product that has proven to be quite useful is the Head & Shoulders Molding Clay. It comes with a matte finish to blend well with your hair such that when you use it, not a single soul can detect its presence.

With my longer than normal hair, we will be doing a simple pulled back look with some volume. You can change things as you see fit but this is a good starting point. Follow through the below steps so that you can achieve that dream look you want.

WASH YOUR HAIR

When styling, you want to start with clean hair. I usually style my hair after a shower. Wash your hair to get rid of any other oils you were previously using. Use shampoo to clean from the scalp to the ends. Finish with a thorough rinse, then remove the excess water using a towel.

SPREAD THE CLAY ON YOUR HANDS

Once your hair is in the right state, you can now start on the actual application of the product. Ensure you use a tiny amount since it is sure to give you your desired look.

Rub your hands together so the clay is all over your hands.

ACTUAL APPLICATION

The first contact of the product should be on the ends, then you can move toward the part that has more volume. Evenly spread the product in your hair as if you are doing a massage. The process helps to eliminate the chances of any part holding onto excess amounts while another lacks. Move your hands in a direction starting from your scalp to the tips.

STYLING

When you spread the clay as required, you can now redirect your movement to achieve the exact style you had in mind. Either keep using your hands or instead use a comb for a more precise look. In a case where you are finding a challenge to maintain the effect, heat your hair slightly utilizing a blow dryer, and in a short time, it will hold.

The Head & Shoulders hair clay allows you to change styles only if it’s not too complicated. A little maneuvering using a comb helps you to wear more than one form if there is a need.
