BRONX RIVER CLEAN UP
Soundview Park, AKA “Gateway to the Bronx River,” is an amazing waterfront green space that sits at the union of the Bronx River and East River. Spreading over 205 acres, it offers outdoor activities like a soccer and baseball field, basketball courts, a running track, and an amphitheater. Also featuring a scenic walking and biking trails. The rocky banks provide amazing views (content!) of the river and surrounding land, and the tidal marsh area is vital to wildlife. We will be working together with The Bronx River Alliance and United By Blue to help clean Soundview Park.
United By Blue is an outdoor brand focused on ocean conservation. For every product sold, UBB removes 1 pound of trash from the earth’s oceans and waterways. I’ll be there wearing clothes from UBB during the clean up. Sadly, I can’t wear a suit in the outdoors, haha. Have to be realistic here! I’m wearing size M shirts and the pants are a waist of 32. I mention this since I usually get L shirts but the fit from United By Blue is great. I’d say size down!
Practical and stylish looking gear. Some shirts have cool features like stretch lightweight woven fabric and a wrinkle resistant finish. Perfect for cleaning up the river. Thanks UBB for outfitting me.

In their last clean up in the Bronx, 61 volunteers gathered over 3,000 pounds of garbage at the Bronx River at Concrete Plant Park! Let’s beat that! I’ll be there for the next clean up on Saturday, April 21, 2018, 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Please note that registration is required.
I hope to see you all there!
