We get it, the modern world is busy. There are a million things to keep on top of at home, at work, with family, and keeping on top of your health can quickly fall down the list of priorities.
However, it is crucial that your health remains a priority. Do you need a reason? Well how about two; statistically men will die 5 times earlier on average, and of the top leading causes of death men lead in all except Alzeimers Disease.
So what are some “easy wins” that you can do to ensure that your health remains the priority that it should be?
-
Supplements – Supplements are an easy way to add in healthcare to your daily routine, it only takes a few seconds to take a tablet with your morning drink (ideally water or a healthy smoothie). There are a huge variety of health supplements out there, from testosterone boosting to Delta 9 THC Gummies for reducing anxiety and stress. However, before you choose to add any supplement to your diet you should ensure that you do your research as to the efficacy and the safety of the product (with an expansive market sadly comes a lot of dud and dangerous items).
-
Check Yourself – The rates of testicular cancer are sadly on the rise, and it is so important and easy to check yourself initially at home for any potential signs of concern. You should not wait until you think you have any symptoms to start these checks; get used to what “normal” feels like so you know what “abnormal” means for you. You are taking the time to shower anyway, so build this check into your shower routine.
-
Skincare – Perhaps one of the biggest cultural and health shifts over recent years has been the acknowledgement that men’s skin requires (and deserves) just as much care and attention as female skin, which is a multi billion dollar industry. It isn’t simply a case of stealing your female housemate/partner’s fancy $100 face cream though, as male skin has different needs. For example, did you know that male skin is approximately 20% thicker than female skin? You also want to ensure that any chemicals in the product are suited to your hormone levels and skin follicle levels. Adding in a simple face cream or moisturiser as you brush your teeth or get out of the shower is a quick action that can immediately improve your skin’s health. Choose an item that you need most; does your skin lack moisture or elasticity? Do you struggle with dry or oily skin? As with the supplements, it is important to spend a little time researching the best product for your skin, to ensure you get the outcome that benefits you most and you don’t waste your money on items that don’t work. Skincare can often be an area where investing a little more is worth it for better results.
These are the quick wins, but don’t forget to incorporate bigger changes into your routine if you need to protect your health (such as exercise or a medical check up). You are your most important tool and your most important investment, so look after yourself.
Thanks for reading and y’all stay dandy.
