5 Ways to Feel Good

You know that it’s important to proactively work on yourself and do things for yourself too. But what can you do to make that happen? Here are five of our favorite mood-boosters:

Get Moving

Exercise releases endorphins, which have mood-boosting and pain-relieving effects. A moderate amount of exercise is the key—you don’t have to go full-throttle at the gym to see results. A brisk walk around the block will do the trick!

Connect With Friends and Loved Ones

Spending time with people who make you laugh and feel loved is a great way to boost your mood. Sometimes, all it takes is a quick phone call or text message to brighten your day.

Do Something Nice for Someone Else

When you make someone else’s day, it can also make your day better. Something as simple as holding the door open for someone or giving a compliment can put a smile on both of your faces. Pay it forward!

Take Some “Me” Time

Dedicate some time each day to do something that makes you happy, whether it’s reading, going to the barber, taking a yoga class, or taking your dog for a walk in the park. You could even research guitar teachers and learn an instrument! This is your time to relax and recharge, so make sure you enjoy it!

Be Grateful for What You Have

When you take a moment to appreciate all the good in your life, it’s hard to stay in a bad mood for long. Make a list of things you’re thankful for—we guarantee it’ll make you feel better in no time!
