Leather goods are timeless and only get better with age. Leather pieces are meant to be kept for a long time and perhaps even passed down. Here are some leather goods I’ll be starting my year off. Perhaps some inspiration for your next purchase!
PRADO STUIBER VOYAGE ROLL UP BAG
Made with real leather and featuring a textile lining, the Prado Stuiber Voyage bag is versatile. This multi-functional bag can be your suit bag, roll up bag, carry-on bag, or just your all around travel bag. Great for a quick day trip or traveling around the city for different photo shoots. The Prado Stuiber brand officially launched in December 2017 in the dynamic city of Hong Kong.
ATELIERS AUGUSTE MONTORGUEIL BRIEFCASE
Ateliers Auguste is a brand based in Paris, France. This briefcase is both stylish and functional and can fit a 13″ laptop. The leather base gives it strength and durability. Featuring water repellent Italian nylon, grey cotton lining, and a heavy veg-tanned leather base. Made in Europe, the brand chooses to work as much as possible with European suppliers; the full grain leather is tanned in Belgium! I found it useful when going from meeting to meeting carrying my phone, iPad, battery packs, and chargers.
SLATE COLLECTION LAPTOP SLEEVE
American made. This SLATE COLLECTION laptop sleeve was made in Minnesota; consisting of full-grain, water-resistant S.B. Foot American leather. Holds 15″ laptop or iPad Pro. If you have an iPad Pro, this comes with a cool leather sleeve you can put your Apple Pencil in. A great way to protect your gear from scruffs and scratches.
THE FRANCESCHINI POUCH
I met the founder of this brand at a menswear event a few years ago. She told me about her dream of starting a leather goods brand and I’m so happy to see it finally fruition. FRANCESCHINI was born in 2017. They are 100% detail oriented and handcrafted in Tuscany. FRANCESCHINI selects the best Italian materials to make some cool products. The pouch really caught my attention because of the random things I carry for meetings and events; usually filled with my business cards, keys, phone, ring light, and maybe a snack from a previous event. A conversation starter and just a great way to hold things. That’s what pouches are for, right? Fun fact, the logo for the brand is the founder’s signature hair style.
CULLY+CO LEATHER PHONE CASES
Phones are sadly not timeless, but there is no reason to not cover up a device you literally use everyday. I also had the pleasure to meet the founder of Cully+Co as well! He insisted on having his goods made in the USA. Cully+Co works with a retired leather worker and the goods are handmade in Georgia. It took him close to a year to find this guy! He currently only has cases for iPhones available but is working on expanding the collection.
