IS IT TIME TO SWAP FROM FOUR WHEELS TO TWO?

If you have a long commute and are quite sick of sitting in a car – it might be time for you to swap to a motorcycle.

But, like anything, there must be a couple of benefits beyond being less boring! Here are some benefits to riding a bike instead of traveling everywhere by car.

Road smarts

When you are used to driving in a car, you are used to the side of your car, the roads, and others around you as a car driver. Motorcyclists approach the road differently; you’ll be even more aware of your surroundings because you know that cars have blind spots that can impact who can and cannot see you.

Not only that, you travel at higher speeds and are more likely to be knocked off your bike.

Driving your motorcycle will make you a better car driver.

Connection

Behind the wheel of a car, you are less likely to enjoy the real smell of the outdoors, the change in temperatures, and so much more. On the bike, you’ll concentrate more, but it means you will have more of a connection to everything around you.

People who ride motorcycles often talk about how much more enjoyable it is for long-distance travel because you are more connected to the places you are going through.

Community

There are riders worldwide who love to ride their motorcycle, and there are many enthusiastic clubs and groups that you will be able to join.

As you travel around, you’ll likely run into other singular riders or small groups traveling together. When you move from driving a car to riding a bike, you’ll become part of a whole new passionate community. You’ll even find that there are people who love nothing more than to pick up an older bike and work with a garage to get it restored. If that sounds cool, keep an eye out for Motorcycle Restoration Shops

People can’t wait to talk to you about your bike, what you want to ride in the future, and much more. It’s unlike that you’ll get the same response when you drive your BMW into a car park.

Commuting

Most people who drive to work know all about getting stuck in regular traffic, and then those days where you are stuck in queues for hours. Traffic is one of the worst things when you’ve had a long day.

When you switch from a car, which will inevitably get stuck in traffic, to a bike that, with some practice, can weave through all of those long lines and get home or to wherever else you are going in a much more timely fashion.

And perhaps one of the best things about switching from driving a car or a van to a motorbike is that you are going to save cash on gas – because you get up to four times the mileage on a motorcycle than you get from a car!

Before you make the switch, it is a good idea to check out what you would need to get on the bike for a safe ride: What Gear Do I Need To Ride A Motorcycle? –

Thanks for reading and y’all stay dandy.
