HIGHLIGHTING YOUR BEST FEATURES WITH SOME SIMPLE OUTFIT TRICKS

If you want your outfits to really speak for you, you’ve got to know how to use them properly!

A well dressed man is one thing, but a man who knows how to highlight his best features with his clothes is another attractive prospect entirely. And when it comes to feeling and looking fashionable, there are a lot of simple tricks you can store up your sleeve for pulling off a look that really suits you. So, why don’t we go through three of the best below?

Wear More Patterns

Patterns can do a lot for your body shape. They can help to ‘push in’ areas you’re not so confident about, and help your body to look sleeker and/or bigger if that’s something you’re going for.

And the more patterns you wear, the more you can play with the perception of your look. For example, a pair of striped dress trousers can help your legs to look longer. Combine this with a block blazer on top and you’ll have a great proportion to each half of your body.

You can also opt between small checks on a shirt and wide checks on a jacket; the former is good for looking broad, and the latter is good for a thin illusion.

Build From the Bottom Up

Putting an outfit together can be hard when you forget about the all important accessories that make it stand out. As a prime example, the shoes you’re going to match with. Which is why you should start at the bottom of your outfit and build upwards – think about how you’re going to lay the foundation, and then dress on top.

Now, this works for a variety of reasons. Most of all, it ensures everything you do accentuates your natural and best features – it’ll certainly help you to consider how important a role things like your watch and shirt cuffs will play.

It’ll also help you to show off your face a bit better; groom your beard properly and your whole outfit will point towards it, and if you’ve had Scalp Micropigmentation – Hair Tattoos done recently, every part of your outfit will help the result to stand out.

Take Inspiration From the Greats

Do you have a style icon? If not, it might be time to get one! After all, the men of Classic Hollywood, as well as Jazz musicians from the Golden Era, are two great subsets of style for someone who isn’t sure where to start with their own highlights.

People like Frank Sinatra and Cary Grant, for example, are two amazing style icons for men who want to add a bit of refined style to their look. Similarly, if you style yourself after Marlon Brando, you can learn to feature leather looks into your everyday wardrobe too.

So, if you want to highlight your features better, you’ve just got to practice a little. Make sure you know your body type, and always try to dress for the occasion.

Thanks for reading and y’all stay dandy.
