July 14 was the soft launch of Empanology, a Bronx based eatery featuring more than 40 kinds of empanadas. Let’s check it out!

The restaurant is in a building owned by Somerset Partners. It seats 20 people inside, and 40 people at picnic tables outside. It was packed on launch day! You’ll find over 40 kinds of empanadas with fillings ranging from chicken ala vodka to pumpkin pound cake.
The demand was real!
Chef Jason Alicea runs the pop-up eatery at 2407 Third Ave. It’s open Thursdays through Sundays from noon until midnight. On launch day, Alicea mentioned that 2,000 empanadas were available but they were sold out by 7:30 p.m. The demand was real!
Ingredients are locally sourced. For the vegans and vegetarians out there, options are available.
They are located in a lot at 2407 Third Ave. Diagonally across from Mott Haven Bar & Grill. Congressional nominee Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and rapper Jadakiss made appearances at the opening! You can learn more about Empanology here.
