I did not know what to expect from Mott Haven Bar & Grill. Hell, I got lost trying to find it. Conveniently located near the entrance to the 3rd Avenue Bridge.
SORRY MANHATTAN, NOT TODAY
Mott Haven has a small town feel to it, lots of wood and it even has a fireplace! If you told me I was in a village, I wouldn’t challenge you. I felt cozy. I immediately warmed up and was ready to eat. Then I saw the happy hour prices.
I AM HOME
Drinks are half off during Happy Hour, Monday-Friday from 4pm to 7pm. The menu was filled with your usual American fare with some Bronx twists. I started off with a local brew called Bruckner Lager, now known as Mott Haven Lager, an Irish Red LLagerand nerd-in-nice-clothes had Angry Orchard.

For the main dish, I had the Steak Lomito. It’s a steak sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, melted mozzarella, two eggs sunny side up, and chimichurri mayo. I had a side of sweet potatoes fries.
HOW PROPER
She had Bronx Burger Deluxe with a side salad. All burgers there are served in an English muffin. The portions were well sized and with three beers, I definitely came out full.

On my way to restroom, I noticed the back is used an art gallery. You’re definitely going to get your culture fix here. They also have karaoke nights and tons of other events.
