When you measure the worth of a product, what comes to mind? Brand names? Louis Vuitton? Gucci? How expensive it is?
WEEKEND FLING
For me, the worth of a product comes from it’s story. I want to know who made the product and where it was crafted. When a product is made locally and has a face to it, I consider that worthy.
BUSINESS
When I discovered Saintly Bags, I was happy to learn they are made in New York. On top of that, these bags are fully customizable. Everything from the zippers, lining, and stitching can be changed. I tried out two possible versions of their bags, the Weekend Fling and the One Night Stand. The Weekend Fling is the larger of the two bags. This leather is the Scotch color, 1 of 5 colors from the Bison family of leathers coming from Italy. These are medium-weight leathers, and have a more protective coat and a noticeable but fine grain. Saintly also offer 3 colors in their Longhorn family of leathers, coming from Brazil. That leather is more hefty, has a heavier and more noticeable grain, and will wear and scratch more than the Bison.
ONE NIGHT STAND
For shorter trips you would want to use the “One Night Stand” size. This leather color goes by the name Florentine. This is a very unique Italian “pull-up” leather, meaning its tone lightens as it gets stretched, worked, and wears in. This gives your bag character and a history behind it. Florentine is also the lightest leather Saintly offers. Perfect for travel. In the version I used, it included one pocket for your shoes and an American flag interior lining.

I dug this look immediately. And the beauty is, if you aren’t feeling it, you can get a different lining! Solid colors and even cameo is available. On the side of these bags (seen below), a pocket is available for easy access to your phone or passport. Great for travel. The pocket is held down by a strong magnet. So you can definitely feel it if someone times to tamper with it.
COMPACT AND RUGGED
Use it for a day trip or for work. Use the shoe pocket for gym gear so it doesn’t mix up with your regular clothes. Don’t care about the shoes? Don’t add it to your bag and save a few bucks!
