BANGING BRUNCH IN THE BRONX: HAVANA CAFE

brunch-bronx-havana-cafe

I‘ve wanted to use that alliteration for a long time. Anyway, this past Sunday I went to Bronx Havana Cafe at 3151 East Tremont Ave. My friends would rave about this place, so I finally made the trek.

HAVANA IN THE BRONX

A Latino restaurant with a Cuban feel to it. What initially drew me to this place was their brunch of unlimited mimosa and sangria. Can’t challenge that.

A friend and I were planning to do a photoshoot later that day, so it was the perfect time to have boozy brunch before hard work.

HARD COVERED

The brunch menu contained Latin styled favorites such as, Combinacion Perfecta, which is Dominican Mangu, Puerto Rican salchichon, Cuban sandwich empanada, and two fried Eggs. Or Ranchero, which is scrambled eggs, crispy tortilla, chicken ropa vieja, and black bean pureé.

FORGIVE ME FATHER FOR I HAVE SINNED

I had the Cazuela , a breakfast casserole, spicy Mexican chorizo, Havana Homefries, mozzarella cheese, piquillo peppers, and two Fried Eggs. It was a lot; It was delicious.
